Getting started
How do I set up AG Player?
- Install the app on your TV, stick or phone.
- Open it. It shows a Device ID and a 6-digit Device Key.
- On this website, open My device, sign in with those two values and add your playlist.
- Within about a minute the playlist appears on the TV. Your 10-day trial is already running.
Which devices are supported?
Android TV, Google TV, Amazon Fire TV (Fire OS 6 or newer), Android TV boxes, and Android phones and tablets with Android 7.0 or newer. Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) TVs, Apple devices and Roku are not supported. See the full list.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Your device is identified by its Device ID. The Device Key works like a password for the website. There is no email or account to remember.
How do I update the app?
When a new version is out, AG Player tells you on start-up. You can also install the latest version from the download page over the old one. Your activation and playlists are kept because they are linked to your Device ID.
Device ID & Device Key
Where do I find the Device ID and Device Key?
Both are on the AG Player start screen while no playlist is added, and always under Settings → This device.
The Device ID looks like A3:E7:61:E9:51:5D (only digits and the letters A–F). The Device Key is 6 digits.
The website says my Device ID or Key is wrong
- Check for mix-ups: the Device ID only contains
0–9andA–F, so there is no letter O, I or L. - Make sure you use the key currently shown in the app. If support reset your key, the old one no longer works.
- After 10 wrong tries the device is locked for 15 minutes. Wait and try again.
My Device ID changed after reinstalling
On most devices the Device ID stays the same after a reinstall. On some devices it can change, for example after a factory reset. If that happens after you paid, contact support with the old and the new Device ID and we'll move the activation.
Playlists
How do I add or change a playlist?
- Go to My device and sign in.
- Choose Add playlist, or Edit next to an existing one.
- Pick M3U URL if your provider gave you a link, or Xtream Codes if you got a server address, username and password.
- Save. The TV picks up the change within about a minute. Restart the app to load it straight away.
M3U or Xtream Codes — which should I use?
If your provider gave you both, use Xtream Codes. It loads faster, includes the programme guide and gives better movie and series information. An M3U link that contains username= and password= is usually an Xtream account too.
How many playlists can I add?
Up to 10 per device. You switch between them in the app.
The programme guide (EPG) is empty
The guide comes from your provider. With Xtream Codes it is loaded automatically. With M3U, the guide link is read from the playlist; if your provider gave you a separate XMLTV link, add it in the EPG URL field of the playlist. Some channels simply have no guide data.
Payments & activation
How do I activate after the trial?
Go to Activate, enter your Device ID and Device Key, and pay for one year with PayPal, card or crypto. The TV unlocks within about a minute.
I paid but the TV still says the trial ended
- Wait one minute, then close and reopen AG Player.
- Crypto payments activate only after blockchain confirmation, usually 10–30 minutes.
- Check the status in My device. If it says active there, restart the TV.
- Still not working? Contact us with your Device ID and your receipt number, PayPal transaction ID or crypto payment ID.
Can I pay without PayPal or crypto?
Yes. Choose Pay manually on the activation page to message a support agent on Telegram or in the live chat. We'll send you payment options and activate the device by hand.
Does the yearly plan renew automatically?
No. Nothing is charged automatically. When the year is over the app asks you to activate again.
Where is my receipt?
Sign in to My device and open Receipts. Every payment has a receipt number like AGP-2026-000123, and you can print the receipt or save it as a PDF. If you entered your email when paying, we also sent the receipt to you.
Troubleshooting
Channels buffer or freeze
Buffering almost always comes from the stream or the connection, not the player. Try these in order:
- Test another channel. If only some channels buffer, the problem is at your provider.
- Restart your router and the TV or stick (unplug for 30 seconds).
- Use a network cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi instead of 2.4 GHz. Fire TV Sticks benefit from an Ethernet adapter.
- In AG Player Settings, switch the live stream format between HLS and MPEG-TS.
- If you use a VPN, try a closer server or turn it off to compare.
- Ask your provider whether you have reached the connection limit on your account (for example, watching on two TVs with a one-connection plan).
"Account expired" or "Login failed" from my provider
This message comes from your provider's server, not from AG Player. It means the IPTV subscription has ended, the username or password is wrong, or the provider blocked the account. Contact your provider. If they gave you new login details, edit the playlist with the new ones.
AG Player's own status (trial, active, expired) is shown separately on the TV and in My device.
The playlist doesn't load or shows zero channels
- Open the playlist link in a browser on your computer. If it doesn't download a file, the link is wrong or expired.
- Check the server address includes
http://and the port, for examplehttp://example.com:8080. - Some providers block certain countries or VPNs. Ask your provider.
- Very large playlists can take up to a minute the first time; after that they load from the local copy.
The app says "This device needs a reset"
This happens after AG Player was reinstalled or its data was cleared: the new install is not yet linked to your Device ID. Your playlists and activation are safe.
- Sign in to My device with the Device ID and Device Key shown in the app.
- Under Device, choose Reset binding and confirm.
- On the TV, press Check again. The app loads your playlists as before.
A device can be reset up to 5 times a day. If the reset is refused, try again tomorrow or contact support with your Device ID.
I forgot the parental PIN
- Sign in to My device with the Device ID and Device Key shown in the app.
- Under Device, choose Reset PIN and confirm.
- In AG Player, press Check again or restart the app. The PIN is removed and locked categories open again.
- Set a new PIN in the app's Settings if you still want categories locked.
A channel shows a black screen or an error
That channel is probably offline at the provider. Try it again later, or switch the stream format in Settings. If no channel plays at all, check your provider account first.
The remote doesn't respond or I'm stuck in a menu
Press Back to go up one level. On Fire TV, if the app freezes, hold the Select and Play buttons together for 5 seconds to restart the stick.
Content & legal
Can you give me a playlist or recommend a provider?
No. AG Player is a media player and does not provide, sell or recommend any content or IPTV services. Please only use playlists you have the right to watch.
Is AG Player legal?
AG Player is a general-purpose player, like a video player on a computer. Whether a particular playlist is legal depends on its source. You are responsible for what you add. See the disclaimer.
What data do you store?
Your Device ID, app version, the playlists you add and your payment records. Full details are in the privacy policy.
